VLOTech is a web-based, Software as a Service (SaaS) application. This means that we offer our service over the Internet rather than downloading or installing any software.
VLOTech allows your office to exist anywhere you may access the Internet - from your desktop, laptop, or mobile device. The software serves as an attorney’s law office, handling administrative and management tasks, as well as communication with the client. Attorneys may customize their virtual law office to meet the needs of their practice areas and their clients.
For Clients
A VLO website is open to the online public and prospective clients 24/7. The application works as a form of ongoing client development and revenue generation. Clients may register and accept the terms and conditions of the VLO to receive their own secure homepages. From the homepage, a client may request legal services, communicate with the attorney or paralegal, upload and download documents, update client information and pay invoices, among other features.

Data Security
VLOTech provides the same SSL protection that you get when you bank online. Data is also encrypted at the storage level using industry proven algorithms. The software developer feels that it is important for you to know that nothing, from your locked office and paper-only filing cabinet all the way up to a high security government server, is 100% secure. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. The goal with data security is to make smart choices, backed by sound science, and to make the task of gaining unauthorized access to sensitive data greater than the benefit to be gained. We consistently audit our software to provide our clients with the most current security measures available.
Updates and Product Development
VLOTech provides services, such as regular hardware and software updates as part of our standard support. Because VLOTech is SaaS, as new software features become available, each client’s VLO is updated automatically. Development of the software is guided by the requests of our attorney clients.
Customization
The software is designed to be flexible so that the basic VLO can be tailored to the unique needs of each law practice. An attorney’s VLO may be integrated into the look and feel of an existing law office website and may be customized all the way down to the text of the user messages, or even translated into different languages if that is desired to meet the needs of an attorney’s client base.
Pricing Structure
Subscribers to the VLOTech service are charged on a monthly, per seat basis ranging from $180-320. There is no annual licensing fee or long-term contract required. A signed software usage agreement and proof of license to practice are required before site setup. Customizations to the application beyond the existing configuration files and templates will be charged separately based on the complexity of the changes requested by the customer. Our goal is to work with each of our customers to ensure that their VLO is tailored to the needs of their individual law practices. The default configuration will be flexible enough for most solo practices. New features deemed necessary by a majority of clients will be evaluated as part of the regular update cycle and developed for no additional charge.
Also included in the monthly price are the following items intended to assist the VLOTech customers in managing their VLOs.
- Personal training and tech support
- Link and listing of the VLO on the www.vlotech.net website, currently in development, which will be marketed by the Company to the public
- A VLO Start-up Guide, including suggestions for blogging, online advertising and other marketing techniques unique to running a VLO
